December 31st — New Year's Tour de Ski
Christmas has come and gone and it is back to the business of World Cup skiing. Santa really delivered and I got to spend the holidays with my husband and my daughter in Switzerland. It was all I really wanted. We borrowed a tree from the hotel on Christmas Eve and snuck it into our room. The look on Aria's face was beautiful when she saw it with the presents under it. Her mouth was stuck in a little "O" for a least a minute.
The New Year brings on the "Tour de Ski" so not too much champagne for me. The event is a similar concept to the biking variety with eight races in 10 days in three countries. I am feeling like my form is finally coming and I can't wait to get things rolling.
I hope Christmas was a merry one for folks back in Alberta. All the best in the New Year. 2010 is going to be a good one. I can feel it.
