It’s not your typical minor hockey clinic. Stick-handling a rubber chicken through pylons, dodging giant mascots on the ice, and finishing off with a good ol’ fashioned game of tug-o-war are a few of the drills you’ll see at the King Size Hockey Clinic.
ATB Financial and the Edmonton Oil Kings teamed up once again to host the third annual King Size Clinic October 25th at West Edmonton Mall’s Ice Palace.
250 novice and atom hockey players had a chance to skate with their Oil Kings heroes and fine-tune their skills with help from certified Hockey Alberta instructors. After each on-ice session, participants hung out with the Oil Kings, posed for photos and got some autographs.
It’s an event that just keeps getting bigger and better every year. On-line registration for this year’s King Size Clinic sold out in just seven minutes! ATB Financial is proud to cheer on the Oil Kings as presenting sponsor for the 2009/2010 WHL season.
